Frequently asked questions
What is trauma-focused group therapy?
It is clinician-led group therapy that prioritizes safety, understanding, and skills for living with the impact of traumatic experiences, alongside peers on a similar path.
How is this different from the PTSD Support Group?
Trauma-Focused emphasizes making space for healing from difficult life experiences and rebuilding a grounded foundation. PTSD Support more specifically centers PTSD-related symptoms and ripple effects. Intake can guide placement.
Do I need a PTSD diagnosis?
No. Many people seek trauma-focused support without a formal PTSD diagnosis. Clinical fit is reviewed in intake.
Will the group force me to share my story?
No. Disclosure is optional and paced. You control what you share.
How much does it cost?
About $200/month, private pay. Insurance is not accepted at this time.
Who is eligible?
Adults 18+ who can participate virtually and for whom this group level of care is appropriate. Eligibility is confirmed during intake.
Is this for emergencies or active crisis?
No. Anchor Myself is not emergency care. Call 911 or 988 if you are in crisis.
