Depression Support Group

Depression Support Group

Depression can flatten motivation, quiet joy, and convince you that reaching out will not matter. Anchor Myself’s Depression Support Group offers weekly therapist-led virtual group therapy – structure, compassion, and shared accountability – so you do not have to push through alone.

Healing is not about forcing positivity. It is about honest support and small steps that add up.

Who it’s for

Adults 18+ navigating depression or persistent low mood, including:

  • Low energy, hopelessness, or numbness
  • Withdrawal from people or activities that used to matter
  • Trouble with routine, sleep, or follow-through
  • Feeling stuck even after trying to push through

No diagnosis is required to inquire. Intake assesses fit and whether additional individual care is recommended.

What you’ll learn and do

  • Rebuilding gentle structure and routine
  • Naming what is hard without shame

Sessions are interactive and clinician-facilitated, not passive lectures.

Frequently asked questions

What is a depression support group?

It is therapist-led group therapy for people experiencing depression or persistent low mood, combining skills, structure, and peer support in a confidential weekly format.

Will this replace medication or individual therapy?

Not necessarily. Group can complement other care. Decisions about medication belong with your prescriber.

How much does it cost?

About $200/month, private pay. Insurance is not accepted at this time.

What if I do not feel like talking?

That is common. You can participate at your own pace. Showing up counts; facilitators help create a low-pressure environment.

Who can join?

Adults 18+ who meet clinical and eligibility criteria. If group is not the safest fit, we will say so.

How is this different from Anxiety Relief or DBT Skills?

Depression Support emphasizes low mood, motivation, and hope-building in community. Anxiety Relief targets anxious patterns; DBT Skills teaches a structured skills set.

Is Anchor Myself crisis care?

No. If you are in crisis or thinking about suicide, call 911 or contact 988 immediately.
