DBT Skills Group

DBT Skills Group

If your emotions feel too big, too fast, or too hard to recover from, you are not alone. Anchor Myself’s DBT Skills Group is a structured, therapist-led virtual group where you learn and practice Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills with others who get it.

This is group therapy, facilitated by licensed therapists, focused on practical tools you can use between sessions – not a lecture.

Who it’s for

Adults 18+ who want skills for:

  • Emotional overwhelm or rapid mood shifts
  • Difficulty tolerating distress
  • Repeating relationship patterns
  • Building mindfulness and self-awareness

You do not need a formal diagnosis or prior DBT experience. Intake helps confirm fit.

What you’ll learn and do

DBT skills typically center on:

  1. Mindfulness – noticing without judgment
  2. Distress tolerance – getting through intense moments safely
  3. Emotion regulation – understanding emotions and reducing spirals
  4. Interpersonal effectiveness – asking for what you need and navigating conflict

Sessions include skills teaching, guided practice, and supportive peer connection.
